Nissan Titan Performance
The Nissan Titan is built on a fully boxed ladder frame, reinforced in certain areas to help fight back against torsional twist. The reinforced suspension and 4-wheel ventilated disc brakes can handle large loads, while the V8 engine provides a certain strength and power.
The Titan Endurance V8 is a 5.6-liter behemoth, providing 390-horsepower and 394 lb-ft of torque. With the Variable Valve Event and Lift technology, there’s power and efficiency, linked to a 7-speed transmission. The Titan XD has an available V8 turbo diesel engine, while the fully boxed full-length ladder frame gets an upgrade with commercial-grade components.
Towing Capacity and Durability
When it comes to towing, there are certainly different available packages and different ways to set things up. But, with the Crew Cab, the Titan can tow up to 9,400 lbs., with a max payload of up to 1,610 lbs. There are three available bed lengths, so it’s important to make sure you pick the right one for your needs. Available bed lengths are a 5.5-ft., 6.5-ft., and 8-ft.
There’s also an available 7-inch screen, with the Intelligent Around View® Monitor, which helps line up a trailer if you’re traveling with one. The Innovative Trailer Light Check lets you check all brake light connections, which is another added convenience feature. Meanwhile, if you do drive the Titan XD, you’ll have a truck capable of towing up to 12,760 pounds and hauling abilities of up to 2,910 pounds.
2018 Nissan Titan Interior Amenities
While it’s always easy to get lost in what a truck offers in terms of towing and performance, it is important to think about the interior amenities, too. Depending on the set-up, the Titan seats between three and six people. The 40/20/40-split front bench seat with flip-down center seat offers a certain bit of flexibility.
When starting the car, use the Remote Engine Start System with Intelligent Climate Control, to adjust the temperature and airflow on warm days. Available heated and cooled front seats in the outboard positions make things comfortable for both you and any passenger along with you for the ride. The NissanConnect® infotainment system comes with a 5-inch display screen, and smartphones can be integrated, too.
